Biography

Gerard is passionate about helping ambitious owner managers create the future they want for their businesses and themselves. Gerard set up Business Growth Partnership with that specific purpose. This purpose is fulfilled in a number of ways including running the Business Growth and Development Programme (BGP) at Cranfield School of Management of which Gerard is proud to be the programme director and lead designer. BGP is the UK's leading programme for ambitious owner managers and has run with great success for more than 20 years. In that time, more than 1,100 ambitious owner managers have participated in BGP including some of the UK's most high profile entrepreneurs such as Angus Thirlwell of Hotel Chocolat (the UK's number 1 fastest growing independently owned business), Lord (Karan) Bilimoria of Cobra Beer, Tristram Mayhew of GoApe (one of the UK's 100 fastest growing independently owned businesses), Lara Morgan of Pacific Direct, Charlie Rigby of World Challenge Expeditions and Jon Thornes of Cool Milk at School. In 2009 alone, six BGP past participants' businesses are finalists in the National Business Awards.
