US court bans sales of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1

Sales of Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in the US have been banned by a court while it decides on the firm's patent dispute with Apple.

According to Apple, Samsung have infringed on their design patent and copied several aspects of their iPad.

"Although Samsung has a right to compete, it does not have a right to compete unfairly, by flooding the market with infringing products," said US District Judge Lucy Koh.

The ban does not apply to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 II, with the trial set to start on July 30th.
