Orange Mobility
MARTIN LYNE, Director of SME, Orange UK: Orange has been in the market for a number of years, serving SME's and small businesses, so starting with small businesses over a decade ago, that has allowed a very different way of working. More recently with mobile broadband we've allowed provision of access to email and internet connectivity in a number of environments on the move, and as we move into the broader internet world, which takes you into applications, then actually, we really are opening up people's lives, supporting a better way and a more productive and efficient way of working. read more

IPC Group - Interview with Director & Founder Graham Light
GRAHAM LIGHT, Director & Founder, IPC: The Contract System The amount of contracts people have - everything from photocopiers to cars to mobile phones - trying to keep track of them all is a big problem, so it takes time, and also there's the question of whether or not you renew contracts before they're up for a date where the price may change, for example. So what we've done is produced a system where it is on-screen. Instead of people having a series of contracts that get buried away in a drawer, we actually put the process on screen. What that means is that things like review dates for contracts can actually be automatic. read more

Lord Sugar - Will My Idea Work?
Everybody thinks their idea is the best thing since sliced bread. It's human nature. I'm sorry to say, the worst people to bounce your ideas off are your Mum and Dad, your wife, your brother, your sister or a friend... they will only tell you what you want to hear. You will have to go to a third party, who is in that industry or allied to the market you are aiming at. It will not be until then that you get a real, independent view of your idea. read more

Lord Sugar: Whilst most of your invoices have clearly got the due date on them, there's nothing wrong, particularly in the case of when you're expecting a big payment, to call up your customer and say, 'Next week, I'm expecting a payment off you, how's everything going? Everything clear? Have you got the delivery note sorted out? Have I got the order number written down properly on the invoice? All OK? read more
The IPC Group
Businesses want systems and services that give them cost savings, and other benefits. It's essential to put things on screen these days because you can then make information proactive as opposed to passive, and this will give you your savings. We like to think we offer a complimentary range of services and products - what we're trying to do is put together a series of items or services that offer real cost benefits. For example, we offer physical document storage, bureau scanning of documents, and we provide electronic document management systems to organisations for them to have and take on the idea of the less-paper office themselves. read more
