...This is not available in the UK. The Export Credit Guarantee Department (ECGD) exists as a profit making organisation which has not provided short term export-credit guarantees since 1991. Now 70% of its portfolio consists of aerospace exports — not much help for a small entrepreneur led company who want to expand overseas.
So with no real Government support for export credit, it would seem that entrepreneurs who want to expand and grow...
...their businesses globally need to look to alternatives to de-risk their overseas ventures. UKTI are providing valuable assistance, but perhaps having your own people under your own control would provide you with a real path to growth.
