Increasingly, SMBs are seeing technology as the powerhouse behind productivity and cost savings, rather than viewing it as a cost centre. SMBs must see it as an opportunity not a threat.

The latest technology is proving a great leveller for SMBs, it is becoming more accessible (especially through cloud computing), giving them access to solutions that had only previously be available to big businesses with large amounts of capital to invest

It is becoming widely recognised amongst SMBs that the need for technology investments is vital to stay in touch with customers, enable growth and remain competitive. Along with the explosion of social media, this is creating growing pressure on the digital infrastructure of Britain — but is still something that those SMBs that remain fleet of foot can capitalize on.
