A survey by career coaching experts Personal Career Management (www.personalcareermanagement.com) has found that 94 per cent of applicants searching for their dream job are missing out on vacancies through poor spelling, grammar or presentation on their CVs.
A lack of grammatical knowledge has lead to alarming disclosures: " my interests include cooking dogs and interesting people".
Applicants' attempts to impress potential employers failed as a result of poor pharasing and inappropriate language such as the hilarious "While working in this role, I had intercourse with a variety of people".

...and author of the best selling CV book, 'You're Hired! How to write a brilliant CV' discovered 81% had errors in spelling or grammar, and a further 13% were badly presented. Other examples of mistakes uncovered in the study include:

- I was responsible for dissatisfied customers
- My role involved coaching and mentioning
- I have excellent editing and poof-reading skills

- I am a prooficient typist
